Bio

Drew Austin Sagona was born and raised in the small town of Laplace, LA moving to Mississippi in 1998.  He has always enjoyed serving others in whatever ways he can.  Leadership has always played an important part in Drew’s life which is one of the reasons why his time in the Boy Scouts of America and the support of his family helped to shape him into the man he is today.

Drew graduated from high school in May 2010 with a GED.  He is currently a student at Southeastern Louisiana University pursing a degree in Communications with an Electronic Media emphasis. Drew wants to pursue a military career in the Coast Guard after he graduates from Southeastern Louisiana University and hopefully get married one day.

He has received numerous honors such as the Eagle Scout Award with a Bronze Palm, being named the youngest Eagle Scout in the Tung Belt District Eagle Scout Class of 2007 at 15 years of age.  He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, BSA’s national honor society.  During his first semester he made the 2010 Dean’s List for Pearl River Community College.   In 2012, Drew became a member of Phi Theta Kappa and was named on the President’s List for PRCC

In his spare time Drew enjoys designing Native American Dance clothes, dancing at Powwows across the country,  studying Egyptology, and watching movies and documentaries.
