My interest in writing dates back to the beginning of my freshmen year of high school. I found it easy and enjoyable to write essays and proofread them. During my senior year of high school, I took an Advanced Placement test for English and scored a 3, allowing me to skip the English Comp. I course at PRCC and go straight to Comp. II. I feel that Journalism would be the best career path for me because I express my thoughts and ideas best through my writing.

When I started school at PRCC, I joined the yeardisk. That allowed me to learn more about photography, an interest I have always had since I was a child. I was editor of the Wildcat Yeardisk during my sophomore year, which gave me a chance to make decisions and be a much more responsible person. It gave me a look into how future employment opportunites will be. Being a part of the yearbook staff also helped me realize that photography is another passion of mine that I would love to continue learning about.
