When I took an accounting class in high school, I knew right away that I wanted to be a Certified Public Accountant.  I have always enjoyed working with numbers, so I knew it would be something I could do for the rest of my life.  It seemed like the best major I could possibly persue.

After graduating fourth in my class from Purvis High School, I enrolled in Pearl River Community College and focused my attention on accounting.  Now that I have taken Accounting classes at PRCC, my love of accounting has only grown.  I can easily see myself being an accountant.  The economics and business calculus classes that I have taken have strengthened my knowledge of the economic world, and I want so badly to be a part of it.

I am currently about to begin my last semester at PRCC.   I’ll graduate this spring with an Associate’s of the Arts degree with emphasis in Accounting. I will continue my educational journey at the University of Southern Mississippi starting fall of 2012.  I hope to graduate from USM with a bachelor’s in accounting by Spring of 2014 and then start graduate school.  I hope to be a CPA and work for a company that allows me the opportunity to move up to better positions. I hope to one day be a CFO.
